Yet another wonderful ski season is coming to an end. You know what that means? Closing Day Parties! Every year in Aspen/Snowmass people get together, bust out their favorite vintage ski gear and close out the season in style. Always guaranteed to be a good time!
Buttermilk Closing Day
April 2nd, 2017
Also known as Bacon Appreciation Day. The party will be at Bumps Restaurant and will include bacon-inspired cocktails, food and great music. Take a run and head down to enjoy the sun, fun, and of course the bacon!
Highlands Closing Day
April 9th, 2017
Highlands Closing day is always a huge hit. Dressing up is not required but strongly recommended! The party goes all day and will include the annual Schneetag where teams craft their own themed sled, ride it down the hill, over a jump and across a 20×40′ pond. Definitely an event not to miss! The party has awesome music to dance to all day. Dress up, let loose, and enjoy the last day of Highlands Mountain.
Aspen & Snowmass Closing Days
April 16th, 2017
Aspen and Snowmass will be closing on the same day this year. Snowmass holds many on mountain parties you don’t want to miss. Gwynn’s High Alpine, the Ullrhof, Venga Venga, and Base Camp will be closing out the end of the season in style. If you would rather stick to one spot, that’s fine too! Any of these awesome restaurants are sure to be a great time!
If you are interested in checking out Aspen Mountains closing day it will be hard to miss the festivities taking place right at the base of the mountain, right by the gondola. Usually, it picks up around 2pm and continues into the night at the many hot spots in town.
The end of the ski season can be bittersweet for many but all the fun and excitement of the closing day parties makes it a little bit better! It’s always important to plan your transportation and lodging to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time. Cheers to another wonderful season!!
