While we can’t cover them all, here is a look at some perennial summertime favorites that locals and visitors can’t wait to partake in every year. Ragnar Trail
Early June
Teams run relay style through three gritty and intense trail loops in scenic Snowmass. The Green Loop, 3.5 miles, climbs to 8500 feet. The 4 mile-long Yellow Loop runs up to a scenic ridgeline. The 6.7 mile-long Red Loop rims the entire Snowmass Village after a short but steep climb. Learn more and sign up a team today.
Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival
Early June
Join dozens of craft breweries and the Colorado Brewers Guild as they kick off the Colorado summer in style. Sample multiple offerings from each brewery during a three-hour grand tasting and experience a complete immersion in the world of Colorado craft brewing. Cap things off with a free concert on Fanny Hill.
Heritage Fire by Cochon 555
Late June
This premier hyperlocal, whole animal, outdoor fire, food and wine festivals will once again make a stop in Snowmass. Immerse yourself in the celebration of cooking and eating heritage breed animals as nearly 50 regional chefs form teams try to delight you with wood-fire cooked gourmet foods.
July 4th Community Celebration & Fireworks
July 4th
Join the community of Snowmass for a 4th of July celebration in Snowmass Village featuring live music, lawn games, sweet treats and more. Pop down to the Rodeo grounds to celebrate the holiday in true western style and cap off the night with a dazzling fireworks display over Fanny Hill.
Power of Four Mountain Bike Race & Trail Run
Late July
Every year at the end of July Aspen Snowmass sets up a network of race courses spanning its four mountains. Each course allows trail-runners and mountain-bikers to push their limits on backcountry trails at elevations 8,000 feet and more above sea level. Mountain bikers have the option of racing on a two or four mountain course and trail-runners have the option of running a 10K, 25K, and 50K. For endurance athletes that love the backcountry, there are few better ways to experience it.
Yoga On The Mountain
Late July
A three-day celebration of yoga and wellness, meditation, music and more, this is one of the most enriching events to hit Snowmass in the summer. Partake in classes taught by locally and nationally acclaimed yoga teachers right in the heart of Snowmass Village.
Ragnar Relay Colorado
Early August
Team up with a handful of runners and begin a 200 mile-long relay journey at Copper Mountain. From there, head through Breckenridge and Vail all the way to the slopes of Snowmass mountain. Topping out at 10,000 feet above sea level, this relay has been named one of the hardest in the Ragnar series. You can’t beat the views and the finish line party located just downhill from the Stonebridge Condominiums.
Tough Mudder
Late August
Challenge yourself and your team on some of the most exciting climbs of any MudderFest course out there. This event is focused on camaraderie over course times, so go at your own pace and wisely choose your obstacles. Even better, by participating in the Tough Mudder you will raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience
Labor Day Weekend
Enjoy some of the best musical acts touring today during the JAS Labor Day Experience. People from all over the country flock to Snowmass to participate in this festival-style weekend complete with world-class music in one of the most gorgeous concert settings on the planet. Great food, side stages, and shopping are all right there in one place.
Snowmass Balloon Festival
Mid-September
Grab a jacket and a blanket and feast your eyes on a sky full of colorful balloons. Weekend festivities include a distance race the length of the Roaring Fork Valley, a free concert and the Saturday Evening Glow which lights up the night sky with balloons.
Snowmass Wine Festival
Mid-September
Celebrate the beginning of brilliant fall colors in Snowmass while sipping a variety of wines, sampling gourmet foods and listening to live music. The venue spans from Snowmass Town Park to the Village Mall. Enjoy the four-course wine dinner at the Viceroy and view rare vintage cars at the Motoring Classic.
