Looking to switch up your Thanksgiving plans this year? There’s no better place to spend the winter holidays than high in the mountains among good family and friends.
With plenty of restaurants offering Thanksgiving classics and full arrangements for dinner, you can have your gravy and ski some powder too.
It’s the perfect time of year to avoid the crowds and with the early season snow this year, we expect fantastic skiing conditions.
Snowmass Mountain will open November 22nd, likely with plenty of runs open. Snowmass Village hosts a variety of fun events for Thanksgiving weekend, most notably the Thanksjibbing Rail Jam. This is a popular yearly event for locals and visitors alike.
Spectators are welcome to watch the free skiers and snowboards perform exciting maneuvers on the rail setup in addition to other family-friendly activities. Throughout the day there will be the Leftover Challenge, with local chefs whipping up their favorite Thanksgiving creations as well as the kid’s favorite – Turkey Bowling.
Prepare for an unforgettable Thanksgiving experience if you decide to join us in Snowmass for the holidays this year!
