Think you’re up for the challenge? Get some friends and get involved in the Ragnar Relay in Snowmass Village, Colorado!
This thrilling trail run is achievable for all, yet more fun with some good friends to push you to your limits. Each runner will run anywhere from 3.5 to 7 miles with various levels of elevation gain. You’ll traverse through some of our favorite terrain around Snowmass Village, including vast fields of wildflowers overlooking views of the gorgeous Elk Mountain range.
There are three different loops to choose from which you can find details about right here. The first is a four mile run with about 800 ft. of elevation gain, an achievable feat for anyone who trains a bit before the race. The second option is shorter, but has a little more elevation – 3.6 miles and 844 ft. to be exact. The final loop is a solid run, even for experienced trail runners – coming in at 6.7 miles 1526 ft. of elevation gain – conquering the whole of the South Rim Trail.
