Celebrate Snowmass history this December with the Grand Opening of the new Base Village! While there are events the entire weekend, December 14th through the 16th, you’ll want to be there Saturday, December 15th to witness the real Grand Opening Celebration.
Exciting new additions to the Base Village include an ice skating rink, rock climbing wall and various new restaurants and bars.
The celebration will include live music starting at 3 pm, a Pro Climb Off at the rock wall, a Skating Exhibition featuring Olympic Skater Paul Wylie as MC with free ice skating afterwards, free food, fireworks and music throughout the night by DJ Naka G!
A brief schedule of Saturday’s events are below but expect much more:
3-5PM: SBV Ski Beach- Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert featuring Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe
5-7:30PM: Grand Opening Celebration
- Opening Ceremony
- Pro Climb Off at the rock wall (climbing wall is open to the public immediately following and will be free all weekend)
- Skating Exhibition featuring Olympic Skater Paul Wylie as MC and local skating clubs (Afterwards, the ice skating rink is open to the public and will be free all winter long)
- Fireworks
- Music all night by DJ Daka G in the plaza
- The Limelight Lounge will open at 2PM with music
Free food and discounted drinks: mini-crepes from Crepe Shack, S’mores cart, chili, and more!
