Disc Golf
At Snowmass, the popular sport of Disc Golf takes a high-altitude twist. Two 18-hole mountain courses wind through high alpine meadows, primeval glens, and to scenic, heart-stopping vistas. One course is accessed from Base Village; the other is accessed from the top of the Elk Camp Gondola.
Elk Camp Restaurant and Scenic Gondola Ride
Ride the Elk Camp Gondola up Snowmass Mountain where numerous activities and adventures await! Featuring downhill biking, dining at the Elk Camp Restaurant, kid’s climbing wall, paintball, Eurobungy, ACES naturalist hikes, kids’ playground and more.
Take advantage of visiting Snowmass during a beautiful time of year, and enjoy a wide range of family activities for the 4th of July. The day starts off with the Boogie’s Diner 5-mile Charity Race, and continues with the iconic Aspen 4th of July Parade, a family carnival, picnics, free concerts, a community street dance, and some of the best fireworks you’ll ever see!
Free Summer Concert Series on Fanny Hill
The Snowmass free Thursday night concerts are a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Pack a picnic, gather a blanket or lawn chair, and head to Fanny Hill for a beautiful evening of music under the stars. A wide variety of musical genres are represented throughout the summer, from rock to reggae and classical jazz. No matter who is playing each week, this is a Snowmass experience not to be missed.
Free Guided Nature Hikes and Walks
Join a naturalist from the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies for a free two-hour, 3.5 mile on-mountain hike through lush meadows and aspen forests while learning about local history and nature. Or, join an ACES naturalist for an easy two-hour guided walk for families along the gentle Snowmass Nature Trail, and learn about wildflowers, animal tracks and birds. Both tours meet at 10 a.m. daily outside the Snowmass Ice Age Discovery Center at the end of the Snowmass
Snowmass Bonus Nights
Enjoy a complimentary Elk Camp Gondola ride up to the Elk Camp Restaurant on Snowmass and enjoy a delightful evening under the stars atop the mountain. The Elk Camp Restaurant will be open from 5-7:30 PM with live music on the deck, food specials and takeaway options. There are also family activities.
