Ron Swanson from the show Parks & Recreation was on to something when he said:
When planning your trip to Snowmass, packing the right gear is critical to your experience. We thankfully enjoy 300 days of sunshine per year in our blessed location, making Colorado in general and Snowmass in particular a very friendly place to take your family on a winter ski vacation. Even when it’s not sunny, there’s no reason to miss out on the fun. Clouds mean fresh snow, and fresh snow means powder days! It’s a good idea to pack for either eventuality. If you forget something, don’t worry! The helpful and knowledgable staff at Stonebridge Condominiums will be able to point to to the right location in Snowmass Village to purchase whatever you’re missing. The ski concierge can also help you tune your skis for the current snow conditions. And remember, regardless of whether you’re skiing or riding in the sunshine or in the middle of a blizzard, make sure that a swimsuit makes your packing list! The hot tubs are excellent in any weather, year-round.

• Fleece neck gaiter or scarf
• Face mask
• Goggles with lenses for low light and fog such as those with yellow, gold, amber, light rose, or rose copper tints.
Packing List: Sunny Days
• SUNBLOCK! This is very important. The combination of high altitude and abundance of pristine white snow will quickly turn a sunny day into a sunburnt day, even if winter temperatures mask the effects of the sun’s rays.
• Goggles with lenses for bright light such as those with copper, dark brown, dark grey, and dark green tints.
• Jacket with vents or “pit zips” to release heat and moisture.
• Water bottle – stay hydrated!
