Snowmass is a blast around the holidays! Fresh powder runs in the morning followed by holiday festivities in the Snowmass Mall and Base Village make for and inescapably delightful yuletide atmosphere.
The holiday cheer doesn’t stop with Christmas. In addition to the season’s skiings and the reindeer games leading up to the 25th, Christmas is followed by Ullr nights on Friday the 26th and a torchlight parade and fireworks on Fanny Hill on December 29th. Anyone 8 or older is invited to participate in the torchlight parade. Glide down the mountain in a trail of light, then watch the slopes illuminate with the light of fireworks overhead for this truly Snowmass experience.
Ullr Nights, occurring every Friday from December 19 – April 3, 2015 at Elk Camp, celebrates the Norse god of Winter. Snowmass honors Ullr with good hearted revelry such as snow biking, tubing, bonfires, s’mores, ice skating, and live music. The minimum age for Ullr Nights is 12.
